Preparation: Choose a dog shampoo suitable for your dog’s skin type. Prepare enough warm water, two clean, soft towels, a comb, and other necessary tools. Clean the dog’s bathing area thoroughly and ensure a warm environment to prevent your dog from getting cold. The ideal indoor temperature is generally between 25℃ and 28℃.

Grooming: Before bathing, gently comb your dog’s fur, starting from the head and following the direction of hair growth towards the tail. This removes dust, debris, and tangles, preventing them from becoming more severe after water contact.

Adjusting the Water Temperature: Wet your dog completely with warm water. The water temperature should be suitable, approximately between 38℃ and 40℃, close to your dog’s body temperature. Avoid water that is too hot (scalding) or too cold (causing a cold).

Applying Shampoo: Squeeze an appropriate amount of shampoo into your hand and gently lather it. Begin by applying the shampoo to your dog’s back, then proceed to the neck, abdomen, limbs, and tail. Avoid sensitive areas such as the eyes, mouth, and ears. Gently massage your dog’s skin and fur with your fingertips to allow the shampoo to effectively cleanse. Be careful not to apply too much pressure to avoid irritating your dog’s skin. Massage for approximately 3-5 minutes.

Rinse thoroughly: Rinse your dog completely with warm water to remove all shampoo foam, ensuring no residue remains. Pay special attention to areas prone to dirt buildup, such as the abdomen and leg joints. When rinsing, start from the head and work your way down the body, avoiding water getting into the ears and eyes.

Dry your fur: Gently pat your dog’s body dry with a towel to absorb most of the moisture. Then wrap your dog in another dry towel to further dry their fur. If using a hairdryer, set it to a low heat setting and maintain a suitable distance (about 15-20 cm). Comb your dog while blow-drying to speed up the drying process and make the fur more voluminous and smooth.

Use conditioner
Post-bath rinse: After using shampoo and rinsing thoroughly, wet your dog again with warm water to prepare for applying conditioner.
Apply conditioner: Apply an appropriate amount of conditioner evenly to your dog’s fur, focusing on areas prone to dryness and tangles, such as the tail, legs, and ears. Gently massage with your fingertips to ensure the conditioner is fully absorbed into the fur, massaging for about 2-3 minutes.
Leave it on: Let the conditioner remain on your dog’s fur for 3-5 minutes to allow it to fully nourish and repair. Do not leave it on for too long, as this may make the fur too oily.

Rinse thoroughly: Rinse the conditioner thoroughly with warm water, ensuring no residue remains. Residual conditioner may cause your dog’s fur to become dirty or lead to skin problems.
Dry and comb: Dry your dog’s fur with a clean towel, following the same steps as after using shampoo. If necessary, you can also use a hairdryer on a low setting to dry the fur again, while simultaneously combing it to make the fur smoother and shinier.
